Hosted by Borough President Marty Markowitz, Medgar Evers College / CUNY, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music invite you to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Also speaking will be New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn.
Enjoy songs and stories by soul and gospel legend Mavis Staples and performances by Gary Anglin and the Voices of CCC. At 1pm, there will be a free screening of At the River I Stand (1993) in BAM Rose Cinemas.
