Map of Greenwood Heights, Brooklyn Taking its name from the adjacent Green-Wood Cemetary, this neighborhood is still considered part of Sunset Park by local traditionalists -- and by the New York City Department of City Planning. The name was probably coined by developers and real-estate agents, who found it a more marketable name than "South-South Park Slope". Traditionally an enclave of Polish- and Italian-American families, the last few decades have also seen an influx of Hispanic residents. New luxury condo developments have brought in residents priced out of, in particular, Park Slope.
