Seaside Summer Concert Series
Free Outdoor Concerts
Presented Thursdays in July and August, 2010


Presented by Borough President Marty Markowitz, this popular concert series is in its 31st season! Thursday evenings in July and August, the series attracts both big-name acts and enthusiastic crowds. The annual Latin/Salsa night is always packed! All shows are Free, however guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs, as seating is limited. A small number of folding chairs are available for a $5 rental fee.

Shows begin at 7:30PM.

Prohibited: cameras, audio and/or video recording, alcohol, pets, bottles, & smoking.

By Subway: Best Train is the Q Train (or F train) to the West 8th Street/New York Aquarium stop

or

you can take the "D" Train to the Stillwell Avenue/Coney Island stop. Walk east on Surf Avenue to West 5th

Travel time is usually between 45 and 60 minutes from Times Square, midtown Manhattan.

By Car:

NOTE: Parking can be difficult, public transportation is the best option! Metered parking is available along some streets, and there is a commercial parking lot available at MCU Park (formerly Keyspan Park) on West 17th Street


From Manhattan: Belt Parkway East to Exit 8 - Ocean Parkway South. About one mile down Ocean Parkway (just past subway overpass) you'll see the park on the right hand side.

From Long Island: Belt Parkway West to Exit 7. Ocean Parkway South. About one mile down Ocean Parkway you'll see the park on the right hand side.

By Bus: B36 bus to West 8th Street and Surf Avenue or B68 bus to Neptune Ave and West 8th Street, walk South along West 8th street to Surf Avenue.
